Supplements for raw diet
How (and whether) to supplement a home-prepared raw meat-based diet with taurine, vitamins, minerals, etc. This forum is for recipe-related supplement discussion only, not general discussion of supplements e.g. Duralactin. Those should be posted in the "Healing Methods" forum.

For those who wish to move out of feeding commercial cat food, but not quite ready to feed a raw diet. There are lots of crappy cooked food recipes out there; this forum is not for trouble-shooting said recipes found elsewhere. Reason being the same general guidelines apply as for making raw food (discussed in the "Raw Ground" forum) - cook a whole animal/bird if possible w/ 95-98% muscle meat, organs, and bones. No grains, ever. Relevant issues to ponder w.r.t. cooking include - cooking methods, nutrient loss, and general adjustments.

Ideas include human behavior modification, use of flower essences, and other humane methods to understand where our little lions are coming from.

Covering a variety of misc. kitty-related conversations such as Animal Communicators (ACs) and Cat Hazards - what's not safe to use on or around cats. Topics include essential oils (EOs), cleaning products, house plants, as well as general cat safety and wellness (including emotional health). AC conversations specific to a cat behavior problem should be posted in that particular forum. Also appropriate to post in this forum are issues related to vaccinations, including titers to check for antibodies. Note - please expect an anti-vax bias.
